They say that adversity doesn’t build character it reveals it. And in the last year at Vampfi, we’ve come face-to-face with the kind of challenges that test every fiber of a young company’s purpose and resolve.
As Nigeria's economy continues to tighten, many businesses especially those relying on infrastructure and technology, have been forced to scale back or fold up. For us, keeping our services running has come at a high cost. Power, internet, people, it’s all more expensive, more volatile. But through every cash crunch, every tough call, and every unexpected downtime, we chose resilience. We adapted. We found a way to deliver value to our customers, even when it felt impossible. Vampfi was never built to be flashy, we were built to last.
And even in the middle of all this, we’ve been quietly working on something we’re incredibly proud of: Vamp 2.0.
We’re on the verge of releasing a major upgrade that doesn’t just improve what we’ve already done, it redefines it. Vamp 2.0 is more than just a product update. It’s a bold vision for the future of facilities management. With dedicated tools for both enterprise clients and everyday users (via our Virtual Facility Manager), we’re making FM accessible, intelligent, and frictionless, whether you’re managing a nationwide portfolio or your home generator.
Despite the constraints, we’ve continued to fine-tune our IoT systems, and I’m proud to say we’ve achieved 99%+ accuracy on our live readings, outpacing many legacy systems in the field today. That’s not just a number; it’s the result of countless iterations, late nights, and a relentless belief that our local technology can compete globally.
As we stand on this edge of innovation, we know we can’t do it alone. We’re actively seeking funding, not just to keep the lights on, but to expand meaningfully into retail oil & gas, power smarter decisions with our in-house Prescriptive Action Model (PAM), and scale our B-B-C (Business-Business-Consumer) model to truly democratize facility services.
There’s so much more I could say, but let me end with this: Vampfi isn’t just surviving the storm. We’re building in it. And when the clouds clear, we plan to emerge not just alive, but leading.
